I was more than surprised by the smell, the taste, and the freshness . Sometimes this is just what you need to pedal up that last hill, or to ski down just one more slope.
I will begin by honestly admitting to you that I just recently ate my very first
Back to Nature Banana Walnut Square. I will also admit that it will not be my last. I was more than surprised by the smell, the taste, and the freshness of the Banana Walnut Squares. When you open one of the packages you can actually smell the bananas. They smell like they were freshly baked, and are just as soft as if they were. Back to Nature Banana Walnut Squares are not just banana bread squares. To actually find chunks of bananas and walnuts in every bite was not something I expected. So many times, bakery items are sold that barely reflect the name they are given. I honestly just expected banana-flavored bread with walnuts. The idea that something that tastes so good, can actually be nutritious, was hard for me to believe. Being the
prove it to me
person that I am, I went to the Back to Nature _blank”>website to see what the nutritional value actually is for the Banana Walnut Squares.
The Back to Nature website states that there is no high fructose corn syrup, no hydrogenated oils, no artificial preservatives or flavors, and they are made with organic bananas, organic oatmeal and real walnuts. They are individually packaged in single serving size, so they are great to pack in a lunch box, or stick in a backpack pocket for a nutritious anytime snack. We took some along on a snowshoe expedition and they were the perfect pick me up. We have become a Back to Nature family, having found they make a very nutritious snack that will hold all my guys over until I have dinner ready every evening. I do have to watch that the little guys don’t eat the entire box at one time though! The boys love them with a glass of milk in the evening, too.
My husband and I are watching our weight and we were very pleased to
see
that there are only 130 calories per bar. They have no cholesterol and 90mg of potassium. The carbohydrate count comes in at 19g with 3g of protein. Sometimes that is just what you need to pedal up that last hill, or to ski down just one more slope. It is definitely what we needed for a day of snowshoeing! We will be packing them for our next cycle trip.
The nutritious Back to Nature Banana Walnut Squares come packaged five bars to a box. The Back to Nature website
sells
them for $3.49 per box, but I actually bought them locally for $2.99. The Bakery Squares are also available in Oatmeal Raisin and Banana Walnut. They offer up to a $5 rebate if you mail them a UPC symbol with a paid receipt.
The Back to Nature
website
offers a great variety of nutritious products such as Cereal, Cookies, Crackers, Dinners, Granola and Nuts. All of their products appear to be organically prepared with no artificial additives. They promise that online purchase will be shipped promptly and with satisfaction. They ship via Coolship for nutrition bars and other items, which maybe heat sensitive to assure that your product maintains the best temperature during shipping.
From it’s beginning in Pasedena, California in 1960, Back to Nature makes each and every one of their customers a promise. And so that I don’t get it wrong, I will close by
quoting
them…
At Back to Nature, our commitment to pure taste is as strong as our commitment to you. That’s why we’ve created the Total Taste Promise - if you don’t love our products, we’ll give you your money back. Simple.
