First introduced by the Californian based, privately owned company in 2007, CamelBak Elixir electrolyte-enhanced hydration drink is designed to fit current CamelBak hydration systems, combining ease-of-use and easy energy based drink mobility.
CamelBak was founded in 1991, and over the last 17 years they stamped their mark firmly as the world leaders of “on the move” hydration systems of various capabilities. Probably best known as the supplier of choice for the US army and their active forces, as well as various law enforcement agencies around the world, CamelBak also has a prime hold in plenty of other markets including sports. We won’t see any particular instances of CamelBak’s bread-and-butter market of being prepared for natural disasters or potential biological and chemical threats in the sporting world (or at least we hope not).
First introduced by the Californian based, privately owned company in 2007, CamelBak Elixir (available in Lemon and Lime) electrolyte-enhanced hydration drink is designed to fit current CamelBak hydration systems, combining ease-of-use and easy energy based drink mobility. The drink uses what it calls “a unique blend of electrolytes, vitamins and minerals to help maintain the body-fluid balance needed to keep you going”.
The drink itself, unlike several of its competitors, is only available in tablet form which you mix in with roughly one litre of water per tablet. Another advantage over similar products is that the product is 100 percent sugar free, which apart from being healthier also makes it easier to clean your equipment after usage. It is also a very small product and therefore highly portable so you can always carry a few extras with you at all times, without any added hassle.
The CamelBak Elixir tablets are also an unbelievable value for money, and you can buy them in a variety of quantities. A 2-pack will set you back just $1.99, a 12-pack just $9.99, and a mammoth 36-pack at an outstanding price of just $26.99 (around $1.65 a pack). Anyone with a CamelBak hydration system will find that at the price, the Elixir pills are an essential purchase.
