Great shoe on and off your bike.
The Pearl iZumi company has a tradition as a top cycling, fitness, outdoor and running apparel company. Their latest foray into the cycling world with the brand new and top-of-the-line X-Alp Enduro shows that the Pearl iZumi company can keep the important features that make them loved but use the latest innovation to enhance their already solid products.
The X-Alp Enduro is nice because is it not designed for just one end of the cycling spectrum but designed to work well for whatever your needs are. Many cyclists don’t do just one event or have just one kind of bike but use many different bikes for many different things. Pearl iZumi had both the rugged outdoor BMX riders and the commute to work on your bike by day and race on the weekend riders in mind when they came up with the X-Alp Enduro.
The X-Alp Enduro is reasonably priced at around $110 but you can find slightly better prices by looking around. The X-Alp Enduro is also an easy shoe to find. You can buy a pair of X-Alp Enduro at a bike shop, sporting good store, or even a shoe store.
The X-Alp Enduro is a mix between the older X-Alp Mid and the X-Alp low. The idea of the Enduro is endurance for both regular use and tough hard riding on the trails. But the X-Alp Enduro is a much different model and very much its own shoe. It does not have laces but Velcro and it also has a ratchet buckle that was added for improved performance.
The X-Alp Enduro features an outsole made of carbon. IT also has the fill of a runners shoe with a beveled heel and flexible front end. It is a simpler smaller design but with just as much strength and durability as previous models. This new design makes it adequate for everyday use. Everyone I know who has used a pair so far has found them to be just as comfortable for everyday use as any other shoe they have worn.
They were on the right foot last time but there is no doubt about it the X-Alp Enduro is yet another step in the right direction.
