Finally had a break through last weekend with my 10 year old. I know, it’s late, but you can’t force a kid to try. So as much as it’s pained me, I haven’t forced her to learn. Last weekend her younger sister got a replacement bike (Mom terminated the old one with extreme prejudice and the capable assistance of a chevy malibu). Madison decided she’d like a bike and that it was time to try. The good news is that she pretty much took to it like a fish to water, having had the benefit of acrobatics classes, which stress balance. This weekend, we work on the very basics.
